Fat Canvas is a new small family-owned business born from a long history and with extensive practical experience with artist's painting supports.
As an artist, the owner has been stretching canvases, even simple and complex geometric shapes, for over 35 years. The final designs of the special stretcher bars and the unique bracing systems used by Fat Canvas have strategically evolved over the years to facilitate precise fabrication, optimize weight and strength and better meet the critical needs of a sound painting support.
Now, these premium, top-notch custom stretched canvases can be available to you in custom sizes and with several useful and time-saving options not available elsewhere. For artists demanding more control over their painting surface, we also offer custom stretcher bar sets of many geometric shapes.
Fat Canvas products are hand-crafted to exact standards and with the highest integrity, worthy of master works of art. Our small cohesive team works diligently through production, finishing and shipping all orders in a timely fashion. We take pride in our work and strive to provide the best product possible and the utmost in customer service.
Even our shipping boxes are unique to the industry. They are carefully constructed to not only provide safe shipment of your canvas to you but to also serve as a shipping/storage/transport box for the life of your customer's valued art purchase. For greater painting protection, we also developed the ArtPorter, which offers many benefits you can pass on to your collectors.
Fat Canvas is located in Houma, Louisiana, less than an hour southwest of New Orleans (Bayou Country). Here we boast on having a vibrant and rich culture and the best food in the world. Now, we are the home of the world's best stretched canvas, too.
Quality custom canvas, precisely the way you want it.
